Welcome to the Lawson Lab website. The accompanying pages describe the scientific interests of the lab and some of the questions we are working on.

In general, we are interested in how blood vessels form during embryonic development and we use the zebrafish as a model system to address questions about this process.

Along with our particular areas of interest, we are also trying to develop new tools and resources for the zebrafish community. These include plasmids that allow easy cloning and rapid analysis of gene function in zebrafish, as well as database resources for the easy access of large datasets, e.g. microarray data.
