Arndt Siekmann, Ph.D.

Arndt joined the Lawson Lab in 2005 after completing his Ph.D. in Michael Brand's Lab at the MPI in Dresden. Arndt's major project focuses on the role of Notch signaling in governing different cell fates within developing blood vessels. In particular, he is interested in how Notch may determine proper positioning, behavior and differentiation of cell fates within developing blood vessel sprouts during angiogenesis. In addition, Arndt is working on approaches to allow conditional expression of transgenes within zebrafish blood vessels.
